ON THE BORDER: The second wave of unaccompanied illegal immigrant children has begun, with more than 3,000 of them surging across the Mexican border into the U.S. last month — the highest rate since the peak of last summer’s crisis and a warning that another rough season could be ahead.
Immigration officials warned that they expected another surge as the weather improved. Although the numbers are down some 40 percent compared with last year’s frenetic pace that sparked a political crisis for the Obama administration, fiscal year 2015 is shaping up to mark the second-biggest surge on record. And on the other end of the Scale...New Border Crossing Signs have been placed along the California, Texas, Arizona Borders
Call it drone-vertising.
Drones have already been used for delivering packages, serving as waiters andphotographing sporting events. The next wave of uses for drones? Flying billboards.
“People are fascinated with the concept,” said Eugene Stark, founder of Hoovy, a company that hangs banners from three to six foot wide drones and flies them over events and businesses.
And there’s money to be made.
“When I first started, the idea was to fly for $100 a day,” said Raj Singh, founder of DroneCast, a drone advertising business that launched in April 2014. “We got large offers for $25,000 for 4 hours.”
His client list includes Sony Corp. SNE, +0.55% and Dave and Buster’s Entertainment, Inc. PLAY, +0.20% He has also worked with the NFL and music festivals to live stream games and shows.Big boost for Beer sales..for all you do...this Drone Billboard is for you.
President Obama was interrupted Monday during White House Easter Egg Roll festivities while reading The Wild Things to Children, when a group of Bees attacked and the kids began screaming. The President assured the kids that the Bees would not sting them, but for some reason a few of them didn't believe him in that area either
Drone technology is so evolving...into surveillance, pizza delivery, Billboard advertising, and Law enforcement activities, including riot control.
Police in a northern Indian city said Tuesday they have a new weapon for controlling unruly protesters in the world's largest democracy: pepper-spraying drones.Yashasvi Yadav, police chief of Lucknow, said his officers have successfully test-flown the newly purchased drones with a view to better crowd control.
"The results were brilliant. We have managed to work out how to use it to precisely target the mob in winds and congested areas," Yadav told AFP.
"Pepper is non-lethal but very effective in mob control. We can spray from different heights to have maximum results," he said.
How about taking this idea even further? Suppose technology gave us the Apple I Pepper Phone?
And the Japanese are at it again! This Time- Smart Cards to Light up Deceased Remains
The Ruriden columbarium, operated by the Koukokuji Buddhist Temple in Tokyo, is as futuristic as the capital of Japan itself. Believe it or not, this is a cemetery.
The Ruriden is home to 2,046 small altars, with glass Buddha statues that correspond to drawers storing the ashes of the deceased. People can visit their beloved lost ones with the help of a smart card which grants access to the building and lights up their corresponding statue.
The Ruriden took two years to build and the ashes are stored for 33 years before being buried below the Ruriden. Currently 600 altars are in use—and another 300 are reserved. Great Alex, I'll Take Matsukomi for 200 Please and Make it a Daily Double--My Aunt is in here somewhere!

Again. Senator John McCain is seeking reelection-- he announced Tuesday that he will run for re-election in 2016, making official a move that has been widely expected for the Republican as he looks to extend his nearly three-decade career in the Senate.
McCain described his plans to run before an Arizona Chamber of Commerce and Industry luncheon in Phoenix, receiving a loud applause when he told the crowd: "With a full heart, I ask Arizonans again for their support as I seek re-election to the United States Senate. I'm as determined as ever to deserve your trust and grateful as ever for the privilege."

Robots for Humans: Addressing the Engineering Challenges-----It has been estimated that by 2045 robots will be able to perform every job that humans can. But does this mean humans should worry about being replaced by machines? Many experts believe the future actually lies in a more advanced and seamless collaboration between humans and robots.Where most robots, particularly industrial and manufacturing settings, have historically been too dangerous for humans to work closely with, advances in technology have made it possible to develop robots that are safer, more cost-effective and flexible enough to work side by side with people.
